Role Overview
The AI Solution Architect serves as a strategic and technical partner to internal teams and clients, helping define and guide AI-enabled marketing technology solutions. This role focuses on planning, architecture and oversight, working closely with developers, strategists and account teams to ensure solutions are practical, secure and aligned with client goals.
While supported by a broader technical team, this position requires someone who is comfortable being hands-on in planning and problem-solving, while not necessarily executing all development work themselves.
Job Responsibilities
- Partner with strategy, account and development teams to design AI-enabled marketing technology solutions that solve real client problems
- Lead technical planning across the full stack — including databases, APIs, web platforms and marketing systems
- Translate business and marketing needs into clear architectural direction, technical workflows and implementation plans
- Use modern AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, Windsurf, Codex) to accelerate solution design, prototyping and delivery
- Guide internal teams by providing technical oversight, documentation and integration support
- Review AI-generated or AI-assisted code, workflows and system outputs for quality, security and scalability
- Identify opportunities to apply AI for automation, personalization, optimization and operational efficiency within MarTech ecosystems
- Contribute to internal standards and best practices for responsible, effective use of AI in client-facing systems
- Participate in client conversations as a technical lead and trusted solution partner when needed
Qualifications
- Background as a full-stack developer or technical engineer, with strong understanding of modern web systems
- Hands-on experience with core technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, APIs, web servers and databases
- Familiarity with backend development languages (Java, Python, C#, Node or similar) — even if you no longer want to code full time
- Experience designing or supporting integrations across platforms, data sources and cloud-based systems
- Working knowledge of common marketing technology platforms (CRMs, CMSs, analytics tools, automation platforms, CDPs)
- Strong interest in using AI-assisted tools (Cursor, Windsurf, Codex, ChatGPT, etc.) to build and deliver solutions more efficiently
- Ability to think architecturally and solve complex technical problems without needing to be the primary developer
- Comfortable collaborating with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders
- Organized, pragmatic and solutions-oriented mindset
- Agency experience is helpful, but not required
