The Role
We are seeking a Director of Experience & Conversion to help define and lead how digital experiences are conceived, structured and optimized across our client work.
This is a strategic, cross-disciplinary role — not executional UX, not pure analytics and not traditional creative.
You will serve as the agency’s subject matter expert on how digital experiences actually work — bringing together human behavior, platform capability and performance thinking to shape high-impact marketing solutions.
What You’ll Do
Lead Experience Architecture
- Help define how digital ecosystems, platforms and journeys should be structured
- Translate business and brand objectives into user flows, interaction models and experience frameworks
- Ensure all digital work is designed for real-world behavior, not just visual appeal
Drive Conversion & Performance Thinking
- Establish best practices for conversion, engagement and retention
- Introduce and guide testing, optimization and personalization strategies
- Partner with analytics to connect experience design to measurable outcomes
Shape Upstream Strategy & Briefing with the Chief Strategy Officer
- Influence how work is scoped and briefed from the outset
- Ensure digital capabilities and behavioral insights are embedded early
- Help shift thinking from “campaigns” to systems, journeys and platforms
Partner with Creative Leadership
- Collaborate with Creative Directors to evolve ideas into interactive, responsive and high-performing experiences
- Expand what creative can do in digital environments without replacing or diminishing creative leadership
- Bring clarity to how ideas function, not just how they look
Translate Technology into Opportunity with Our Technology Team
- Work with our CTO-led technology team to identify what platforms and tools enable
- Bridge the gap between technical feasibility and human-centered design
- Identify where AI and automation can meaningfully enhance experience and performance
Elevate Client Engagement in Conjunction with Account Staff
- Serve as a strong voice with clients on digital experience strategy
- Help clients understand how to improve performance through better experience design
- Position the agency as a partner in capability building, not just execution
Who You Are
You come from a digitally native environment where experience, product and performance are deeply connected.
Background
- Experience in e-commerce, SaaS, digital product or platform-driven brands in B2B and/or B2C
- Roles may include:
- Growth / Conversion Lead
- Product Experience Lead
- Head of Digital Experience
- Optimization / Experimentation Lead
Capabilities
- Deep understanding of user behavior in digital environments
- Strong grasp of conversion drivers, journey design and interaction models
- Experience with testing, experimentation and performance optimization
- Ability to think in systems, not just campaigns
Mindset
- Strategic thinker who can connect ideas to experience and outcomes
- Comfortable working across creative, strategy and technology teams
- Translator of complexity — able to make digital capability understandable and actionable
