Across our nation, each year automotive events attract millions of enthusiasts, feeding fervent passions for just about everything on wheels, and seeing firsthand what the industry has to offer. But, 2020 has been anything but a normal year; fans were left wondering what would become of these thrilling and anticipated events.
JRT, at Dodge’s behest, got to work developing new and impactful ways to safely engage the brands’ passionate fans amidst the pandemic. We created fun and exclusive downloads and several original video series. Yet, with the event industry still working to make a comeback, we wanted to create an even more engaging way to experience all the horsepower-fueled Dodge brand excitement.
So to refuel the tanks, our team created a brand-specific virtual car show experience hosted right on DodgeGarage – the enthusiast’s all-access pass to everything power, speed and pure American muscle.
Two main priorities to deliver on: 1) Ensuring a smooth and accessible user experience across devices and 2) Maximizing engagement. A third? Why not: provide owners a space to proudly display their machines and interact with other likeminded owners from around the world (of course Dodge loves local, but the Brotherhood of Muscle is a global community).
Excited owners submitted images and listed the mods and specs of their show-ready vehicles. When the curtain was raised, online visitors were met with over 400 historic and modern Mopar® vehicles to experience.
But gazing at some pretty sweet rides didn’t stop there.
Fans had the opportunity to vote for each of their favorite submissions and to see an in-depth news story on the owner and their winning vehicle. One week and over 11,000 votes later, the top three vote-getters were announced.
